The Architectural Design Review/Modifications Committee (Mods):
This committee serves to advise the BOD on residential property adherence to community covenants. Tasks include, but are not limited to: review of all resident proposed modifications to individual properties, submit recommendations for covenant changes to the BOD & review new home designs for adherence to community standards.
Example activity: A resident seeks to install a new landscaping feature in their front yard with a retaining wall, various new plants/shrubs, a walkway and other visible elements. The committee would collect all available information (images, schematics, written descriptions) and review them to ensure they conform to community standards, adhere to covenant design guidelines and are aesthetically pleasing. Committee members may perform a site visit to verify size and layout of the project. The members would then vote to approve or deny the project and provide feedback on the proposal if denied.
Typical time commitments range from 1-5 hours per week but may vary based on season and volume of active projects. Members should be able to safely navigate the community to inspect residential properties and operate a computer or mobile device. Members should perform duties in pairs or as a group and adhere to the Towne Mill Code of Ethics. Members are expected to complete the entirety of their elected term (1-2 years) but may seek re-election for additional terms.
