The Rules & Regulations Committee (Builders)
This committee serves to advise the BOD on the activities of commercial builders and their subcontractors within the community. The committee also oversees enforcement of community parking regulations. Tasks include, but are not limited to: responding to resident reports of damage caused by builder activities, documenting after-hours building activity, communicating with local law enforcement, recording and reporting resident street parking violations to the management company,Â
Example activity: A resident reports that large vehicles are improperly parked along a neighborhood street. The committee uses any provided images or a brief site visit to determine if the vehicles belong to residents or construction vendors. Upon making that determination the committee communicates to the builder or to the Management company steps for resolution or potential violation citations. Committee performs follow-up to determine if the issue has been resolved or if additional enforcement actions need to be taken.
Typical time commitments range from 1-5 hours per week but may vary based on season and volume of active projects. Members should be able to safely navigate the community to inspect the property, operate a computer or mobile device and perform some reasonable physical activities such as lifting/carrying 1-30lb objects. Members must, at a minimum, attend committee meetings once per month or at a frequency determined by the committee charter. Members should perform duties in pairs or as a group and adhere to the Towne Mill Code of Ethics. Members are expected to complete the entirety of their elected term (1-2 years) but may seek re-election for additional terms.
